With the evolving coronavirus situation, we are taking extra efforts to keep our rooms and public areas safe and clean for you, our employees and the community at large. While our inn remains open, we understand that you might choose to stay at home during this time. We have also added a flexible cancellation policy.

We’re Open for Business: Healthy & Clean (as Always)
Our hearts go out to those who’ve been impacted by the coronavirus. We want you to know that we are closely monitoring the evolving situation in Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico and we are following the advice and direction of the CDC and the New Mexico Health Department.

Built-in Social Distancing
Our historic estate was built to create community, but naturally provides for distancing. Seven of our nine guest rooms have private entrances from the garden and don’t share hallways or entrance areas with other rooms. Our acre of terraced gardens provide ample area to rejuvenate and relax.

The safety, health, and well-being of our guests and staff are paramount for us and we have focused our attention on enhancing routine cleaning and sanitizing. With less guest traffic, more proactive and preventative measures in place, and space for couples to relax alone, you can still get away with peace of mind. We remain committed to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and have taken an extra level of sanitary precautions so you can feel at ease during your stay. The effective response measures below are helping us continue to provide a safe and clean environment for all:

Comprehensive COVID-19 guidance is in place and we have a designated employee to focus on sanitizing. This includes routinely cleaning all frequently touched surfaces throughout the property and sanitizing commonly used surfaces throughout the day such as doorknobs, handrails, tables, remote controls, lamp switches, etc. There is hand sanitizer in our living room, food service areas, and at check-in. Prior to guest arrival, we thoroughly clean and sanitize the room, including sanitizing frequent touch areas such as doorknobs, remote controls, hangers, lamp switches, etc.

We sincerely appreciate the trust you place in us when you travel. Focus on the positive and escape whatever worries are on your mind with a safe, clean, relaxing getaway. We promise to closely follow the developments and when you are ready, we encourage past, present and future guests of the Bear to get away from the crowds, continue your celebrations, and have confidence in our care. We are here for you.

Please feel free to call 505.983.0798 or email innkeeper@turquoisebear.com if you have any questions or concerns as we continue to monitor the advice and direction of the CDC and the New Mexico Health Department. We sincerely appreciate the trust you place in us when you travel, and encourage guests to stay informed about CDC reported cases in our state.

Wishing you safety & peace,
Dan, Alex & the Team at the Bear
